>> Lecture on 'Indian Evidence Act' by Justice Pradeep Nandrajog, Judge, Delhi High Court, was conducted on 5th& 6th March 2010 to the students of III & IV Year
>> Prof. Dermot Cahill of Bangor University, UK visited SLS and delivered a lecture to the students of SLS on 27th& 28th January 2010
>> Prof. Bernd H. Oppermann from Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany visited SLS under DAAD Grant for one week in February 2010. During his visit, he delivered lectures to UG & PG students
>> A Workshop on 'Recognising Biases as Law Practitioners' was conducted by Adv. Rakesh Shukla, Supreme Court of India, on 25th August 2010 in SLS Auditorium


>> Dr. M. VeerappaMoily, Hon. Minister for Law & Justice, Govt. of India, visited SIU and delivered a lecture to the students of SLS on 'Reforms in Legal Education'
>> Justice Santosh Hegde, Hon. Lokayukta, Karnataka State delivered a Guest Lecture on 'The empowered Lokayukta and the Accountability in Governance' to undergraduate students of SLS on 23rd February 2011
>> Mr. R. Venkataramani, Member, Law Commission of India and Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India, visited SLS and delivered a guest lecture to the undergraduate & postgraduate students on 10th& 11th February 2011
>> A Guest lecture on 'Save the Oceans' was organized on 10th August 2011 at SLS Auditorium for the I Year BA/BBA LL.B. students. The speaker for the day was Commodore RajanVir, President, Indian Maritime Foundation, Pune
>> A Book Reading session was organized by the Law Hawks Forum on 23rd August 2011 on the book entitled "Mota Seth – The Senior Partner". The author of the book, Adv. M. Rishi Kumar, Advocate, Madras High Court was the resource person
>> A Symposium on 'Socio-Legal Dimensions of Live-in Relationships' was organized on 27th August 2011 at Vishwabhavan Auditorium. iT was organized in collaboration with Public Concern for Governance Trust, Pune in furtherance to Late Mr. B. G. Deshmukh's personal guidance and wish. Students and faculty members from various Law Colleges across Pune participated in the Symposium. The Chief Guest for the Symposium was Mrs. MeeraKhadakkar, Retd. Principal Judge, Family Court, Nagpur
>> A Guest Lecture on "Criminal Drafting" was organized on 10th September 2011 for the final year undergraduate students. The lecture was held at SLS auditorium. Mr. Ejaz Khan, Counsel, Central Bureau of Investigation, Mumbai conducted the workshop
>> A Guest lecture on "Exploring Law Through Legal Pop Culture" by Mr. Bhavin Patel, Rainmaker was conducted on 12th September 2011 at SLS auditorium. The students of I Year BA/BBA LL.B. attended the lecture along with the members of faculty.
>> Her Excellency, Mrs. OrnaSagiv, Consul General of Israel, Consulate of Israel in Mumbai, visited SLS, Pune on 15th December 2011 and interacted with the students and members of the faculty
>> A Guest lecture by Dr. M. Sridhar Acharyulu, Professor & Registrar, NALSAR University of Law was organized for the IV Year BA/BBA LL.B. Media Law students on 22nd December 2011 on Media and Law


>> Prof. Mary E. Footer from Nottingham Law School, University of Nottingham, UK visited SLS, Pune on 16th January 2012 and interacted with the faculty members. She also delivered a Guest lecture on 'International Economic Law' to the students of IV Year and V Year BA/BBA LL.B
>> A Guest lecture by Justice M. Rama Jois, Member of Parliament, Former Governor of Jharkhand & Bihar & Former Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Courts, was organized on 17th February 2012 at SLS Auditorium on 'Dharma & Concept of Law & Justice'. The students of I Year BA/BBA LL.B. attended the Guest lecture
>> A Guest lecture on 'Diversity in the Legal Profession: Women Judges and the Feminist Judgments Project' by Prof. Sonia Harris-Short, Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham, UK was organized for the I Year LLM students on 12th March 2012
>> First Late B. G. Deshmukh Memorial Public Lecture was organized on 11th June 2012 at Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Auditorium in collaboration with Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT), Pune. The Chief Guest for the programme was Dr.MadhavGodbole, Former Home Secretary and Secretary (Justice) Government of India, who delivered the memorial lecture on the topic 'Good Governance – A Distant Dream?' The event was graced by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, SIU, Mrs. Anu Agha, Former Chairperson - Thermax Ltd. and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and many other bureaucrats and members of PCGT along with faculty, staff and students of Symbiosis Institutes.


>> A one day Open Consultation Programme was organized by SLS, Pune as part of its Law reform initiatives on 'Recommendation for Prevention of heinous crimes against women with reference to Rape and Sexual assault' for Justice J. S. Verma Committee on 3rd January 2013 at SLS Auditorium
>> A Guest lecture on 'Legal issues in the Income Tax Act and Procedure for settlement therein' was organized on 16th March 2013 at Vishwabhavan Auditorium for the students of III Year BA/BBA LL.B. the resource person for the same wasAdv. MihirNaniwadekar, Bombay High Court, Mumbai
>> A Panel Discussion on 'Surrogacy and Women's Rights' was held on 23rd March 2013 at Vishwabhavan Auditorium organized by Human Rights Cell. Panelists were Ms. Kerry McBroom, Ms. Vaishali Sinha and Prof.Aradhana Nair
>> A Guest lecture on 'Insider Trading' was organized by the Corporate Cell on 25th March 2013 at Vishwabhavan Auditorium. The resource person for the same was Prof.MangeshPatwardhan, Associate Professor, National Insurance Academy, Pune
>> A workshop 'Biodiversity Meet 2013' on the theme 'Green Revolution Gene Revolution' was organized on 30th March 2013 at Vishwabhavan Auditorium. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr.VandanaShiva,Founder - Navdanya and the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology. Other speakers included Dr.Chittranjan Bhatia, Former Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Adv. YeshwanthShenoy, Legal Advisor to various Regulatory Authorities of Government of India


>> Dr. Nick Scharf, School of Law, University of East Anglia, Norwick, UK visited SLS, Pune on 23rd January 2014 and delivered lecture to the students of IV Year BA/BBA LL.B. on ‘Digital Rights Management: The Phantom Menace’
>> Prof.Rajendra K. Jain delivered a guest lecture on 'The European Union and SAARC' to the students of II Year BA LL.B. on 28th February 2014
>> Dr. George Panthanmackal from Bangalore visited SLS, Pune and delivered lectures on 30th& 31st August 2013 to I Year BA/BBA LL.B. on Foundation of Ethics and Concept of Wealth & Prosperity
>> A guest lecture on 'Investment Law' by Mr. Sunder Ram Korivi, Dean, School for Securities Education, National Institute of Securities Market (NISM – established by SEBI), Mumbai was organized on 4th September 2013 for the students of IV Year BA/BBA LL.B

SLS Pune's extension activities for students and faculty include structured consultancy and the following
>> Centres of Specialisation which undertake the work of consultancy in their respective areas of Centre for Corporate Laws, Centre for Justice Education, Centre for Private Law, Centre for Public Law & Governance, Centre for Technology and Innovation Laws, Centre for Transnational & Global Legal Studies
>> Legal Aid Cell and Clinics: Symbiosis Legal Aid Centre undertakes legal consultancy,legal research and representation .The sub-clinics offer law consultancy on various issues and class of persons includingSenior citizen care clinic and Environment protection clinic to mention a few.
>> Activities of Legal Aid as part of Community Legal Resource Network with advice from CUNY Law School also functions in villages.


>> Two village legal care centres at Pirangut and Somatane were opened to help the villagers with dispute resolution. The activities of the Community Legal Care Centres include Client consultation, research, representation, mediation and ADR.
>> Since 2009, legal literacy sessions were conducted by 200 students of V Year BA/BBA LLB for 3 schools of 137 students, 2 colleges for 93 students, 6 co-operative housing societies for 66 members, Pune railway station for 21 persons, 2 hostels for 17 hostellers and 4 slums for 80 persons.
>> It Collaborated with District Court and participated in MahaLokAdalat. 311 students and 7 faculty members participated in the observation and facilitation of mediation for the Disputants. Around 62,000 cases were resolved.
>> Further, students organised and contributed to Legal aid camps, client counselling, NGO engagement, prison reforms and litigation research.
