The 11th edition of the Annual Cultural and Sports fest of Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Symbhav, revolving around the theme ‘Winds of Change’ commenced on 22nd February 2019. The first day of the fest offered a variety of events like MUN, the fashion show ‘ABLAZE’, Dance events, Eastern Singing etc. For all sports enthusiasts, Symbiosis Law School, Pune hosted a variety of Sports events like Football, Basketball, Badminton and Lawn Tennis which witnessed teams giving their best on the court and the field.
An ode to beauty, a tribute to ‘Pride’, and a call for Traffic Safety awareness were brought together through Symbhav’s flagship fashion show event, ‘ABLAZE’. The event commenced at 6:30 PM and was headed by Mr. Shubham Singh. It was judged by Ms. Richa Choudhary, Senior Associate, AZB, Mumbai; Dr. Mrinal Gawli, a model and a MAXFAC surgeon, Mumbai; and Ms. Anmol Sinha, Beauty Influencer, Blogger and a Freelance Model. It witnessed 4 teams walking the ramp and setting the tone of the performance as well as capturing the hearts of the audience. The event commenced with the home team of Symbiosis Law School, Pune walking the ramp with helmet to create safety awareness. Shunning the taboos and walking to themes like LGBT Awareness, Menstruation, and Female Feticide were the winners of the event, the team of BVP, Pune was crowned the winner and awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-. The team of DY Patil, Pune was adjudged the Runners up of the event as they walked gracefully to the unconventional theme of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The first day ended on a high note with Mr. Anubhav Singh Bassi, a stand-up comedian from Delhi performing at the Pronite. His witty humour and sarcastic one liners entertained the audience.
