Joint SDG-DAAD-project on "Implementations of the SDGs – A comparative approach in India, Nepal and Germany" is organized under the DAAD “HEI Partnerships - Transferring Knowledge from Campus to Society and Economy” project which is meant to foster deeper international collaboration among higher education institutions, particularly focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project brings together academic leaders from partner institutions, including Ostfalia University (Germany), Symbiosis Law School (India), and Kathmandu University (Nepal) to discuss frameworks and best practices for the effective implementation of SDGs in diverse educational, cultural, and socio-economic contexts. The project underscores the role of HEIs in bridging academic knowledge with societal impact, highlighting a shared responsibility to address global challenges through education. As a part of the project we have completed an SDG Semester at SLS, Pune with three German students (July to December 2024) Mr. Thomas Nass, Mr. Serhan Karagöl, Mr. Mike Heller while an SDG Semester was completed at Ostfalia with three Indian students (July to December) Miss. Arunima Jain, Mr. Hardik Jain , Mr. Kanishk Gala. As a part of the "Trees for the oxygen of the future“ – Two Tree plantation drives have been completed in Pune where a total of 550 (300 + 200) along with other initiatives. Dr. Kshitij Naikade attended the Kick Off Week of the Joint SDG-DAAD-project from September 20 – September 30, 2024 at Brunswick European Law School (BELS) - Faculty of Law – Ostfalia, University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
