Admission Procedure for B.A. LL.B and B.B.A. LL.B for the

Academic Year 2012 -2013

• Please read and understand the entire instructions before you proceed for registration.
• It is mandatory to appear for the SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) for admission to SLS, Pune.
• The candidate seeking admission to the Symbiosis Law School, Pune should adopt the following procedure:-
• The applicant must register online for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).For details please visit www.set-test.org.
• Applicant shall receive the prospectus from SIU only.
• For mode of payment please see www.set-test.org

In addition, applicant has to fill up an online application form at the website of the SLS, Pune that is www.symlaw.ac.in, by paying Rs. 1000/-, without which he/she will not be shortlisted for Group
Exercise and Personal Interview (GEPI)

• The payment for this can be made online by credit card along with the payment of SET registration OR by forwarding a Demand Draft in favour of "Director, Symbiosis Law School" payable at Pune, to the Institute OR by paying through credit card at the time of online application to the institute OR through Net Banking (account details are available on the Application form)
• In case payment is made by Demand Draft, then please mention your name and the SET ID number on the back side of the Demand Draft.

Selection Procedure:
Selection is done in two phases:

1. Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the SET score.
2. The short listed candidates will be invited for GEPI at Symbiosis Law School, Pune and at Symbiosis Law School, Noida Campus, based on candidate's preference of location.
3. Specific dates & Centers will be announced against the names of candidates, shortlisted for GEPI.
4. The final merit list shall be drawn on the basis of both the performances.

Important Dates for SET:-

• SET Online registration starts - 11^th February, 2012.
• SET Online registration closes - 14^th April 2012.
• SET Payment closes - 17^th April 2012.
• SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) - 5^th May 2012.
• Law test will be in the morning session from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm.
• Declaration of SET Result - 19 May 2012

Important Dates for SLS Pune:-

• SLS Online application starts - 20 February, 2012.
• SLS Online application close - 17 May, 2012.
• SLS Payment closes - 17 May, 2012.
• SLS, Pune will publish the shortlisted candidates list for GEPI on 23^th May 2012.
• GEPI will be conducted on 30 May, 31^st May, 2nd June, & 3rd June 2012.
• First Merit list will be published on 5^th June, 2012, at 5.00 pm
• First Merit list will be closed on 12^th June, 2012, at 5.00 pm
• Second Merit list will be published on 14^th June, 2012, at 5.00 pm
• Second Merit list will be closed on 21^rd June, 2012, at 5.00 pm
• Third Merit list will be published on 23^th June, 2012, at 5.00 pm
• Third Merit list will be closed on 30 June 2012, at 5.00 pm
• Commencement of classes from 25^th June, 2012.

Eligibility: For B.A. and B.B.A. LL.B.:

  The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 50% marks (45% for S.C. /S.T. students) in one attempt (No compartment). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C. finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date.
• B
  Age Limit: Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for the SET, as on 05 May 2012 (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate).
• C
  Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course.
  Intake Limit – The total intake is 250 seats (inclusive of 180 seats of B.B.A.LL.B and 70 seats of B.A.LL.B).
   

Reservation of seats:Within the sanctioned intake limit. Scheduled Caste: 15%
Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
Differently abled: 3%
Wards of Serving/Retired Defense personnel: 5%
Over & Above sanctioned intake :-

1. Kashmiri Migrants: - 2 seats per programme.
2. International students: - 15 % of total intake (Including PIO and NRI).

Fee Structure:
B.A.LL.B - Rs. 1,30,000/- per annum. (Including caution deposit of Rs.5000/-)
B.B.A.LL.B. - Rs. 1,30,000/- per annum (Including caution deposit of Rs.5000/-)
