Ms. Semanti Choudhury did her B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2009 and then joined one of the leading law firms of India at their Mumbai office. Thereafter in 2011, she shifted to a start-up firm in Mumbai. During her three year nine month stint at law firms she worked on varied transactions and researched on regulatory laws. In 2013, she quit her law firm job to move back to academics. She completed her LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Laws from National Law University Odisha, Cuttack in 2014 and also qualified UGC- NET examination which was held in June, 2014.

She joined Symbiosis Law School, Pune as Assistant Professor in March, 2015 and is currently teaching subjects of commercial importance such as Special Contracts and Investment Law.
