A member of the bars of New York and Connecticut and admissible to the Paris bar, Joan M. Betti practiced at Weil, Gotshal&Manges (in New York, then in Moscow) and BredinPrat (in Paris). She specialized in structured and acquisition finance. Joan has been teaching a contract drafting course at the law school Hautes Etudes Appliquées du Droit (HEAD)in Paris since 2013, and a course in American business associations since 2014. Joan has a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Boston College and a J.D. from The Washington College of Law, American University.

Sonam Tshering is a faculty of law working as Senior Lecturer at the Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, Bhutan. He teaches the laws of contract and civil procedure. He is also extensively engaged in designing courses, teaching pedagogy and researches on Bhutanese Laws. He holds a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, from Sherubtse College, University of Delhi, LL.B from New Law College, BVDU, Pune,India, Post-graduation in Bhutanese Laws from Royal Institute of Management, Bhutan and LL.M from George Washington University, USA.

He is one of the faculty members of this project working as coordinator for students from Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law and will conduct a class on good faith and performance of contracts in Bhutan for the students of this project.

My name is Riddhi Dhananjay Joshi. I am currently in the third year of the B.A.; LL.B. (Hons.) undergraduate programme at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. I am a senior member of the Academic and Research Committee at my college. I was a member of the Winning Team and was also adjudged the Best Female Advocate at the 17th Amity National Moot Court Competition, 2018. I have some publications to my credit, on reputed blogs such as Indian Constitutional Law and Philosophy and Centre for Business and Commercial Laws, NLIU Bhopal. I have successfully completed a Graduate Certificate Course in Public Policy at The Takshashila Institution, Bangalore. My other interests include Hindustani Classical Music, having undergone training in both vocal and instrumental forms.

am Anumeha Agrawal a IIIrd year BA.LLB (Hons.) student of SLS, Pune with an aggregate GPA of 8.1, and have also completed a diploma in International Business Laws from SLS. I did my schooling from K.V. No.3 Bhopal scoring 84.6%in 12th standard and 10.0 CGPA in 10th standard.I have completed A2 German Language certification as well as, introductory IPR Course from WIPO, Cyber law from NUJS. I participated in 7thNLIU International Mediation Tournament.

I am Shaheen Banoo, a 3rd year law student from Symbiosis Law School, Pune (Symbiosis International University). I have great interest in research and understanding the application of law along with its global perspective. I collaborate with my faculties to write on contemporary issues of law.

Being given an opportunity to be a part of IALS Contract Law Project has helped me to continue my commitment to legal education, and I feel confident that I could contribute substantively to the demand and requirements of the project while strengthening the skills I’ll need for a comprehensive understanding of the Contract law.

My name is Taresh Bakshi and I am currently in II year of BBA LL.B. (H.) programme of the undergraduate programme of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. I have been a member of the Regulatory, Audit, And Budget Committee of the Student Advisory Board for the duration of both my years. Having a keen interest in law, subjects such as law of contracts, environmental law and constitutional law have captivated me in particular. Apart from the academic interests, mooting as an activity fascinates me. I have been a national level debater and participated in a number of inter-college debates as well. When I am not working on research papers or updating myself to the current socio-political scenarios, you can find me solving crosswords or reading in my spare time.

I am Akshita Goyal, currently a first year student pursuing B.A. LLB (Hons.) from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, India. I did my schooling from Delhi Public School, Bangalore South, scoring a 10.0 CGPA in 10 th std and 96.2% in my 12 th std CBSE Board Examinations. I am currently an Executive Member of the Programme Coordination and Support Committee, of the Student Advisory Board. Subjects like International law, Contract law and Environmental law fascinate me. I have interned at a litigation firm in Bangalore and appreciate the exposure such opportunities have to offer. My other interests include dancing, travelling and exploring new cultures.

Anne-Sophie Milard holds a Master’s degree in French Business Law and Anglo-American Business Law Studies from the University of Paris X in France, and an LL.M in European Law from Essex University in the UK. She began her career as an international business lawyer in France and Qatar. Later, in Thailand, she began teaching Thai lawyers who sought to focus on French contract law. When she returned to France, she continued teaching, and has, for some years now, taught English business law at the Universities of Paris 1 (Pantheon-Sorbonne) and Paris Sud. She also teaches an introductory course on the French legal system to international students at HEAD.
