1.Background and Overview of the Programme
SLS, Pune has re-introduced the three-year LL.B. programme from 2014 which has received an overwhelming response. Three-year programme is designed to impart professional legal competence to students from diverse educational backgrounds. The objectives of the programme are as follows:
To equip the students with legal knowledge of various legal spheres and skills to perform various roles of a legal professional beyond the traditional role of a litigator for linking their domain knowledge to legal profession.
To give them an edge over their competitors to lead so that the opportunities to shape social, public, and corporate enterprises, such as the state, community organizations and social enterprises, become justice sentinels and justice crusaders seek them out.
To provide hands on experience in legal knowledge, skills, ethics, and values so as to be able to work in a fast-changing India set in a globalizing world by learning law in a profound way keeping with contemporary developments.
To build competence to find, identify, and interpret the law in a given situation.
Admission Process: Three Year LL.B Programme for Academic Year 2025-26To enhance knowledge and enable them to resolve the legal problems with the correct application of law.
To enable them to deploy IT skills and use the electronic resources to find the legal information.
To demonstrate cognitive skills, problem-solving skills, analytical and independent critical thinking with enhanced research capabilities by using different pedagogical methods and collaborative online international learning.
To help cultivate the ability to appreciate the role of lawyers in justice education in a globalizing world sensitive to the needs of sustainability, poverty, and vulnerability.
To acquaint them with the institutions of the legal systems encompassing national, regional, and international levels and multiple aspects of dispute resolution with intellectual integrity, critical thinking, and as practice-ready lawyers.

Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility of admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), subject to successful fulfilment of specified admission norms.

Step 2: All India Admission Test (AIAT)
Admission process comprises of the Symbiosis All India Admission Test (AIAT) and a Online Personal Interaction (PI). AIAT will be conducted Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on respective centres.
AIAT comprises of:
a) Writing sample/subjective/descriptive answer (Writing Sample: two subjective questions for 20 marks each, total 40 marks) for 65 minutes concerning social, political and legal issues.
b) 10 objective / multiple choice questions for 20 marks relating to general knowledge, legal reasoning and reading comprehension
c) Online Psychometric Test of 20 minutes for 10 marks. There will be a time limit to answer the questions. Once the time limit is over, the candidate will lose an opportunity to answer the questions.
An answer given by a candidate will be locked, so the candidate will not be able to change the answer. The candidate needs to ensure that the answer is recorded within the stipulated time limit.

Step 3: Online Personal Interaction (PI):
There will be a total of 30 marks for PI: Personal Interaction is intended to test the personal attributes, fitment, work experience, global outlook, professionalism, ethics, values, and statement of purpose of a candidate. Each candidate will get a maximum of 6 to 8 minutes for PI. The candidate needs to be ready at the given time without any excuse by following the instructions given by SLS, Pune-SIU.
Tentative Date: 17th-18th January, 2025
(Note: Candidates are requested to upload a soft copy of the Statement of Purpose (SOP), not more than 250 words, and a scanned soft copy of the Letter of Recommendation mentioning conduct, character, traits, etc. (the reference letter shall be from the Head/Supervisor/Professor of your Institute/College) and other relevant documents as per the schedule for AIAT. After successful completion of the AIAT, candidates will be invited for the PI process provided by the institute. Candidates need to keep original documents, including the SOP and reference letter (LOR), for the PI process.)
5. Registration Fees:
The fees for Registration for Admission is Rs. 2150. This is subject to revision for AY 2025-26.
