Mentoring

                                                                       Mentoring
Overview

A sense of purpose and the ability to be purposeful are key to personal and organizational success. Coaching can be a highly effective means of evoking purposefulness, and so generate high levels of motivation and performance.

The faculty acts as mentors to approximately 15 to 20 students. We have conducted several formal and informal meetings of the mentors and the students (wards) Creating the necessary changes can involve a wide range of programmes and initiatives such as the key points of discussion in the meeting, understanding of various subjects, problem faced by the students in learning process, attendance, and performance in the internal exam. The low performer students are given various suggestions for improvement. There were few telephonic meetings with the parents. The parents are informed time to time about the attendance and overall performance of the students through email & telephone.

The interaction begins with a survey form whereby personal details of the mentee are gathered in order to access needs and strengths. Further interactions are planned and recorded in the log book jointly signed by the mentor and the mentee at the end of every meeting.

                                                                                        Mentoring System

“Developing insight to turn hindsight into foresight!”
•    In mentor system each faculty is allotted with the 10  new students as mentee.
•    Each mentee will get mentor “Log Book” to keep record of meetings.
