Symbiosis Law School (SLS) has a faculty and student exchange programme with Orebro University, Sweden. It started with the visit of Prof. Roland Haglund in 2004.
In the month of May 2005, two students from Orebro University, Sweden, Lisa Winge and Malin Floden completed their dissertation in Intellectual Property Rights in SSLC.
In the month of March 2006, Prof. Catarina Bartholdson visited SLS with a view to assess the feasibility of the exchange programme between the two Universities.
This was then followed by the visit of Prof. Shashikant Hajare to the Orebro University in the month of April 2006.
In the academic year 2007, Prof. Aruna Sampat engaged lectures with students of Orebro University on varied topics like Dharma Family Institutions, the Caste system in India, Religion, the changing role of Women in the Indian Society.
As a further step to the collaboration, Prof. Marta Johansson came on a faculty exchange programme from the 9th to the 29th of June, 2007. She engaged lectures for students of various years on wide ranging topics.
The topics she dealt with were –

- Introduction to the Swedish Legal System
- Ombudsmen
- Self Determination, borders and stability
- Sources of International Law and Treaty
