The Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) is an in house Health Care Centre exclusive to the staff & students of the various institutes of Symbiosis. The SIHS has a team of specialist doctors who conduct the annual health check up. Out patient treatment is provided to the students by the medical officers of SIHS. Seminars & health education workshops are also arranged by the centre.
Each student is insured for Rs. 25,000/- under the Mediclaim Policy & for Rs. 1,00,000/- under the Road Traffic Accident Policy. A copy of the policy document is available with the Registrar / O.S. For further details regarding the benefits of the policy, the student should contact the SIHS.
The SIHS also provides an in house, modern, state of the art health club & fitness centre with a view to facilitate a holistic development of mind & body for an all round development of our students. Training facilities for strength, endurance, flexibility & cardiovascular fitness including Yoga & Meditation will be provided in customized capsules suited to the unique requirements of the student population in confirmation with their academic curriculum.
The specific nutritional demands of this young student population would be met by a scientifically designed nutritious brunch, which would be provided on campus 6 days a week.
All the above (Medical Care + Medical Insurance + Health Club + Catering facilities) are made available to the students at a subsidised premium.
The Centre thus provides preventive, promotive as well as curative health care services with a view to ensure Positive Health in all members of the Symbiosis Family.
